Celtic showed again today that the club and indeed our fans are patient when we don’t race to a lead as we did against The Ibrox outfit on Wednesday.
In truth we could have a lead even earlier but for some great saves by Liam Kelly of Motherwell, eventually Abada scored and Rogic then scored a brace before Maeda won a battle for the ball with the ball landing fortuitously inside the bar.
It was no less than we deserved.
The team has some swagger to it and everyone can see, Rogic was asked about having first chased and now being chased as Celtic are top of the pile, his response was brilliant.
This set off a storm on twitter with a certain clubs fans not happy at the analogy of them being perennially second or lower since 2012.
Celtic need to become relentless and just keep playing with the hunger that we saw today.
I cannot remember in my life of supporting Celtic a squad which had so much depth, I mean when O’Riley, Juranovic and Jota are your substitutes think how good the players are who kept them out of the team?
The games are coming thick and fast now, whoever blinks first will likely not have a guaranteed £40 million bounty waiting, if Celtic keep playing football like this there are none in Scotland who can survive 90 minutes of it.
