BBC Sportscene oozes pain begging for offside but Celtic TV’s unique angle knows better

The picture below is immaterial, it is likely taken a few frames early but even if Abada is offside he is not affecting the play and therefore not offside.

Furthermore the claim Bates was impeded is a bit rich as he spent his time trying to defend by cashing into Abada with his hands raised.

Check the unique angle for the 3rd goal, Bates is no where near the play and slams his elbow into the back of Abada’s head.

Watch between 1:44 and 1:52 and freeze the frames, Bates is no where near the ball, lunges, stands still, then complains.

Those hoping for a penalty or some moral high ground to sit on have a very poor understanding of the rules of football.

That they are on the enforced national broadcaster makes it all the more strange.

  1. Wow just wow.!!! I don’t even think Callum Mcgregor should have been penalised for the Aberdeen first goal, is that a penalty if in the box? I’d say no. Then jotas so called offside, why no pictures and discussion of it just a passing mention. All in all we have played well, but we must stop this only playing half a game, we bring crap on ourselves. HH.
